I can’t know what I don’t know, but I know what I could know should you know I can know. So here we go.
– You have friends everywhere. Speak in absolutes only if you’ve looked in absolute. I’m always going to be one of them though, and I’ll always strive to be the best of them I can be.
– They don’t hate you, they’re just swayed by them as much as you were. Or are. This is what he does, and has always done. They’ll come around if they ever were there. Which goes into the third point:
– He wasn’t everything, you need to see that if you are to see that he was never there, and gone before he came. If you can’t, you best believe they won’t, for better or for worse, true or untrue. & truth be told, he was never my friend. Nor yours. I was his; you seem to maybe have fallen into the same spell. It is the same though, no matter the manifestation, because love connects where love exists, and love exists where love persists.
– Don’t thank me for all the years I’ve stuck around, that’s what friends do, and I am not just a friend, I am your friend, in that order. I am; I’m yours; I’m friends. Instead, thank me for all the years I will continue to, because they’re all the years I have left in me. Should you feel the need to be thanked like that, I’ll thank you when our years are spent in common cost.
– To you, I am and will be only as real as you make me out to be. You will always be able to find a reason to dismiss me should you seek one. Regardless, I am real because I exist, and I exist because you share that existence with me. The internet age allows the illusion of distance. Our ancestors know time, in transit, is the only distance that is as real as us, and exists alongside us, or inside us.
So in the final analysis, when you feel it’s time to exist alongside me, as you persist inside of me, find your friend you speak of–make the transit. Time will tell what I could never. With love, your love. For always.
