You know something funny? When we both noticed you tend to write the name Sam and I laughed and told you it’s weird because, when I was younger I wanted to be called Sam, I feel like maybe you thought I was pulling on your leg, like I said that for the sake of having something special with you.

I remembered now, it’s because when I was younger, there was this movie, Sammy’s Adventures, and I wanted so badly to be that, this turtle, having the freedom to go where my heart wanted. To be a boy, to find the girl I love. What’s interesting to me is, I remember this movie specifically because it has California Dreamin’ in it. Funny how it’s a song you left for me, thinking of me. You never seize to amaze me, you never let me forget that I can’t forget you. Maybe you only say we’re soulmates because I say it, because you want to make me happy, but there’s always something or somehow a reminder or realization that you’ve been there. You’re there, you’re here. The way I see what you’re doing when I sleep, I don’t wonder if it’s a dream because knowing us, it’s literally you. It’s you being in my head, a part of me. I love you. I always have.
